You know what, I kinda take that back.
I feel like it’s more androgynous now than it was then though, because it’s much more acceptable now for guys to wear make-up.
But like, idk how, 14 years ago or whatever, people saw this and were like “maybe a dude?”
To be clear I mean this as in “people were sexist back then, because it was used as a pejorative, just because her makeup wasn’t conventional and she wasn’t wearing revealing clothes”
