I’ve been to Italy many times (wife’s from there). Yes the pizza is amazing. Yes in almost every case. Yes they do not understand pineapple on pizza.

But they are wrong. Those fuckers sometimes put boiled eggs and shit on there which ruin it.

Just because somewhere invests something doesn’t mean they have ultimate and final say. Hamburgers came from Germany and I know our fatasses got those things perfected here.

Tomatoes are not native to Italy. They were imported from Central America to Italy by the Spanish.

Next time a dumbass Italian tries to gate keep pizza, remind them of this fact: Tomatoes are American. And watch them go nuclear.

Knowledge is knowing tomatoes are a fruit, wisdom is not putting them in fruit salad.

Pizza has historically had fruit on it. There are wallpaintings in Pompei depicting it. Pizza has historically had pretty much everything on it.

Man I remember some nasty scrolling sessions visiting that sub, the opposite ones, and the rest of the US Vs EU corners of Reddit. Really riled me up that stuff, made sure not to sub to these topics because they get real toxic real fast. The SAS one was the mildest though and you could get a good laugh but I’d find outraged Americans in the comments, follow their profile and end up in /conservative or worse, following some morbid curiosity.
