I find that I have no trouble going to bed if I don’t need to wake up the next day, or if I come home from work early. I’ve come to the hypothesis that late bedtimes are the result of too little recreation after work, as if our brains said, “No, you can’t go to bed yet. I don’t want to wake up to go to work already!”
It’s true, often I don’t want to go to bed because I feel like I never got my personal time for the day just doing whatever I want. When I do get to do something for myself during the day, it’s easier to convince myself I should go to sleep at a reasonable time… you know, unless I’m playing a really good video game.
