Nifty!

Well that’s interesting. I’ve read more than one place the having uBlock Origin is “enough” and that adding Privacy Badger is overkill. I’ve also got AdGuard Home running on a Pi-4. I failed all three tests with Vivaldi Nightly and Arc Browser–both with uBO installed…
Simply adding Privacy Badger to the existing setup, suddenly I had “strong web protection”.
[edit] Firefox passed without having to add Privacy Badger.
A personal gripe of mine. I can’t get any of my friends/family to care…
Anyone know if things like uBlock Origin already handle this? 🤔
Follow-up after using Magic Earth to navigate to an intersection up in the local hills: It worked, but I didn’t like that it wasn’t indicating street names in the read-aloud directions–just “turn left, turn right”. That might be a must-have feature for me.
My go-to daily driver on my Pixel 7 is the Kiwi Browser, but I use Mull for variety sometimes.
Yeah, I’m gonna need to see the paperwork on that…
I’ve been very post-y and very commentish since I got here. I did most of the posting in the sub I modded on reddit, and it’s the same over here. I guess it would be fair to say I’ve been equally engaged on both platforms. (I’m only posting here now, tho.)
I haven’t posted any content to the reddit sub that I mod since the blackout–I’ve been putting all of it on the equivalent community in lemmy.world. I was astonished that apparently only 2 or 3 of the 11,000 subscribers followed me over (0.03%!).
I’ve actually really been enjoying it here. Testing out the various apps, checking out how lemmy and kbin are the same and different…finding interesting communities. The posts have been growing, and there’s something gratifying about watching problems get resolved, and updates get applied.
I check in on the reddit sub occasionally–I haven’t decided what to do yet about my mod position yet–but it’s pretty dead over there for the last couple of weeks (I guess I was doing most of the posting?).
I’ve been spending so much time in the Fediverse for the last week, I had no idea there were so many apps that were going to adapt to the new API rules and keep going.
Another satisfied Arc Browser user.
