As if money actually goes to the content creators 😂
I don’t like Nintendo’s attack on emulation any more than you do, but video capture cards have existed for a long time. You don’t need an emulator to record footage of console play
Someday we’ll learn that GitHub just isn’t the place for this kind of stuff…
Yet another reminder that piracy on Linux is the way because new files don’t have execute permissions by default
Did you happen to look up while standing in the TSA line? Surprise, there’s cameras there too. Sure, they’re not getting a straight-on shot of your face, but still getting a clear shot nonetheless. There’s no winning in this situation sadly
You knew what I meant but chose to leave a Reddit-ass comment anyway
Ok but calculators are only allowed in math class and if there’s one thing language models suck at, it’s doing basic math. Forget anything at least as complicated as algebra
This is a much more involved method than just seeding everything you download to at least a 1.0 ratio, but if you’re extremely resource-limited, then sure
Hopefully this will be what finally convinces YouTube to get rid of Shorts. I doubt there is a single creator that solely uploads to Shorts, they’re just reposts of Reels and TikToks
Definitely, but maintaining their status as a tax haven is more important I guess
Well, so does your credit card company and they sell that info to the same companies Apple does, so nothing is really lost but a little is gained.
Really, there’s not much private about credit cards at all, so idk what’s with this thread…
I don’t know what you’re referring to exactly, but for me, I like using normal credit cards through Apple Pay because the recipient doesn’t get your actual credit card number and a different number is used each time
So where is the line drawn? What about the teens who want to lookup how to do an exercise correctly without getting injured? The people who make these videos are usually very fit (big surprise!)
I have a feeling this is going to be driven by some AI model that’s gonna do more harm than good
I asked the same question, my friends all abandoned it for Instagram years ago, but I (an American) am seeing a lot of Europeans using it during my travels
Very cool. Much better than what I do with my friends, which is post a message on Discord saying “🥊 react for movie A, 🐱 react for movie B, etc.”
We’re talking about an American company here, businessmen fail upwards
This question gets asked every year and every time it turns out to be an OPSEC mistake instead
It would be sad if that’s what Nintendo convinced him into believing, because as the article points out, there’s legal precedent for emulators
