Well, I knew my brother was getting a new phone soon anyways so getting notified his device changed wasn’t a surprise. Otherwise, getting notified hia device changed without that knowledge may have triggered me to contact him elsewhere to ask if he did. Signal is mostly going to be conversations between close/trusted individuals. It doesn’t tell you what they changed to, the message basically tells you that if this person didn’t legitimately change devices then it might be a bad actor.

For a case that comes included with the system I can’t complain. I put a cloth under the deck and the US charger fits alright. I’ll maybe get a bigger case someday, but this one is prettu good for me not having to go get another one. The switch didn’t come with a case, so it wad just naked until I found a decent one.

I love my steam deck, I also just got it like 2 months ago. If I knew this was coming, I might’ve waited. Either way, my girlfriend is probably going to get a cool hand me down in the next couple months.

I use gentoo on my gaming computer.

Hulu? I use ublock on hulu and have no issues.

When I have kids and they begin using computers, they’re installing Gentoo with dad.

I donate to Gentoo every once in a while so I don’t have to live this life.

Only way this pays off is if it doesn’t require the blizzard launcher, and it works with Linux/proton. Otherwise, I will continue playing my copy of Diablo 2 and Path of Exile.

Portage has everything I need. Especially with overlays, only ones I’ve added were for steam and librewolf.

Advertisements work opposite for me. If I see an ad, I hate the company. I adamantly will only choose materials based on personal research and the suggestions of my peers. Any suggestion by a corporate entity or otherwise paid method will only serve to brew hate. Beyond that, I will go to just about any means to get rid of ads. I often refuse to deal with a company if their ads show up when I don’t want them to, or if their ad annoys me. There is no good ad.

I got mine yesterday, which was great cause then I could play deep rock while gentoo compiled stuff.

We must be brothers

A coworker of mine was an computer engineer in the early 2000s, but is now a warehouse director. She told me she helped her son build a new pc but it was having heating issues. I asked about fans and she said it only had 2 intake on the front with no exhaust. Told her a local shop that has cheaply priced good fans. She said computers have changed a lot in 20 years. I helped in about a week ago with choosing storage blocks, had no clue nvme even existed.

Same, if I don’t want it when it’s 5 bucks, I won’t want it when it’s 30. If I for some reason change my mind, then I’ll just go back and find it again.

About 20 something games. I usually go through whenever I add new things and delete things I’m not interested in anymore. Most of my wishlist is either early access stuff I’m watching reviews on, or stuff not out yet.

I was using Firefox then swapped to mull. Both are good, i just figured I’d try something different and saw mull on fdroid.

I’ve been using Qobuz. Sure it’s still paid, but I can buy downloads for any of the music on there. Same with Bandcamp. I’ve been buying one album every paycheck and putting them on my storage blocks, then putting them on my media player and phone. I support my favorite bands, and get to keep something in return. On top of all this, I hunt down CDs. I’ve got a massive physical music collection, and it’s nice.
