Boeing was one of my accounts back before the pandemic. I had to respond to RFPs where my employer sold services to Boeing. They sucked to work with and just didn’t understand really basic things about the services they were requesting in their own RFPs.

Disney and Walmart on the other hand were great. They were not pushovers, but they were consistently friendly, and they always knew their shit.

Heat index over 100 freedom units and I’m still sad summer is winding down.

I have several throughout the house with a couple hooked up to stereo systems. It’s really nice to be able to stream music to all speakers or to specific groups of speakers like “downstairs group”.

It’s also fantastic for keeping a grocery list. You can then pull it up on the app while shopping or have it text the list to someone else. IMO it’s by far the most useful feature.

You can also use it to check in on kids at the house if they don’t have a phone. You can use the app on your phone to “drop in” on any Alexa in your house and have basically a phone call or a video call with Alexa Show devices.

I’m one of the few that loves having these devices. But as soon as Amazon tries to charge a subscription I will be looking into jailbreaking them.

Why would you burden me with this?

I’ve never looked up the price. Someone should say what they cost for those curious enough to wonder but lazy enough to not look it up. I offer them one vote of approval redeemable nowhere.

Please don’t roast me here, but why is wanting to know what someone looks like without makeup such a bad thing? I’ve never even thought about it before, so please don’t take this as advocating for it. It just doesn’t immediately occur to me what the problem would be.

I get why it’s gross to have an app to remove clothing, but makeup feels like a different category.

What about an app that changes or removes hair? Or one for sunglasses/jewelry?

Are they all gross in some way that I’m missing? Is it creepy to remove makeup from photos but not creepy to remove earrings?

Not trying to simp for TEAMS, but what issues are people having? Every now and then I have to go in and change mic and speakers back to laptop, presumably from some update our IT deployed.

Other than that and wanting it to show on MY screen when I’m transmitting sound, I can’t think of any improvements. Works better than the conference calls we used to have.
