thinking that the year 2000 was 10 years ago.
This is patently absurd, 10 years ago was 1994.

To get a little more pedantic, his ex-girlfriend’s adopted daughter.

If you wrap the TV in tinfoil, it’ll be a faraday cage and block all WiFi
I just keep my TV embedded in a block of lead.
I won’t lie I was super tempted to add a pro toolkit
I say do it (if you have the money, of course). I got it and while it has far more tools/bits than I use regularly, it’s been invaluable.
Honestly any parts you buy today probably won’t be much good in 30 years.
At least not when AGP comes to town.

This will be a fun new addition to my vocabulary.
It’s actually called Johns Hopkins?
Named for Johns Hopkins, who got his first name from his mother’s maiden name.
I’ve used the official Mastodon app, and Tusky. Both work well, but I haven’t really done a deep dive into features.
That’s why I only use “*******” for mine. With the number, it’s more secure.
I guess it works because I can’t see the password.

Science isn’t about why, it’s about why not.

Technically, the new flag doesn’t come into use for another 5 months or so, assuming the legislature doesn’t stop it.

Just buy a TV and don’t connect the wi-fi for the smart capability
Some of these TVs will find an unsecured network within range to connect to, so they can still bombard you with ads.
And (in my experience) they’re still slow as hell. I press “power on” and have to go pour a drink or something while I wait for it to boot up, as if I’m warming up a radio in the 1930s.
You do know that you can edit that menu and get your WiFi and data buttons back? That’s what I did and I’m on android 13.
What phone are you on? I’m on a Pixel 6 and I’m not seeing the separate toggles in the quick tile edit menu. Afaik it’s only possible with a custom built or modified version of 13, or a third party app that adds the button itself.
Never seen or heard from anyone using tape to mask their remotes. Is this really a thing?
Not this exactly, but my grandparents had a guide taped to the backside of their remotes to make it easier to use.
The tape strategy has some appeal, though, mainly in that I use maybe 5 buttons 95% of the time.
