I find myself wanting to kill time by using my phone and scrolling, even Lemmy, and realizing it’s not doing anything for me. Just a comfort scroll. I think I’ll probably kick the social media/scrolling habit completely within the next year.

I don’t think I understand how adding safety indicators to elevate awareness of self driving vehicles helps rich people avoid all consequence.

As a poor person, I’d like to know if a car I’m driving by is self driving.

But the people who shoehorn Linux into every conversation are also the ones who spend more time finding acceptance online rather than actually being “friends” with people IRL. But you do not believe social media is manipulated then, and is just a conspiracy theory? I never accused any party of being behind the manipulations and I haven’t provided any theoretical motivations. Just wondered if you believed social media is an accurate portrayal of the populations opinions.

I agree with the sentiment that we are on a FLOSS platform, so most people are going to prefer Linux.

jk, I definitely agree. This place is way more radicalized than Reddit, or at least it isn’t nearly as diluted by bots so it seems more prominent… Some dope people around here but I’m definitely losing hope that this place will grow into a cool place.
