I’m not being facetious or unkind here, but for many 10’s of thousands of years we have been developing meaningful social circles by seeing people in person. Just give it a go!

It’s a big WHOOOSH, but I actually do respect all the people getting as far as reading ‘https://twit…’… and saying ‘fuck that’.
No. Hydrogen peroxide is the best disinfectant. Beats sunlight by a long long margin.
Bleaching Nazis on the internet is basically what OP is calling for, and by your own analogy, they’re right.
Dude. It’s an app, not your wife.
Maximally hilarious.
The whole premise of ads on Twitter is that they’re targeted.
IBM don’t sell consumer crap. They sell smoke and mirrors to major governments and industry. They’re chasing jobs worth millions per pop. They want ads to target the people making those decisions.
Mate, come on, that’s not fair at all. Get your head out of your arse.
ABC have been covering this heaps. They broke the Afghan files story in the first place. Adele Furgheson has literally been writing articles about whistleblowers and David McBride for weeks in the lead up to this. Latest one from looking at the ABC website here: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-11-18/david-mcbride-guilty-plea-whistleblower-protection/103120544
Fairfax is also literally the news link at the top of the OP post here!
There are always excellent reports coming from the ABC & Fairfax with a quality of investigative work that FJ doesn’t even come close to matching. ABC & Fairfax may have their faults, but this is not one of them.
This must be insanely frustrating. Only more the reason to have a decent suite of whistleblower protection laws.
The good old Google way. I’ve no idea why so many people are so willing to hand over everything to them. Say what you like about Apple, but at least they’re not selling your personal info.
Weird take, what’s your beef? They most certainly do slap on huge fines, and are much more aggressive about enforcing privacy requirements than the US/etal.
This is kinda like cursing the worlds fastest sprinter for just not running fast enough.
I don’t see this being very popular in Australia. It misses the mark for why people buy a Ute or dual cab here.
Ahhh, Port Kembla. I mean it’s already a whale graveyard what with all those massive container ships chopping them up all year and the massive sewer outfall gassing them out. A few measly pylons just adds a bit of spice to the game!
This is a really interesting story behind the story. If you remember how much Turnbull public resisted any kind of inquiry or Royal Commission, you get a sense of how powerful an influence the bank was able to exert on any ‘fair’ process.
There’s a mouthful. Free market except when….
Bloody Koalas partying all night on drugs, clubbing themselves to death. We need a Liberal government to post police at every club and strip search these buggers. Especially the 13 year old girls koalas in NSW.
You know what also works synergistically with renewables? More renewables!
Ahhh Bronwyn! I could Nazi that coming!
On a side note, I’ve just finished installing a whole lot of vertical searchlights at her home for the annual Christmas celebrations. I hear all her guests will be Gobbelling down the drinks while saluting some kind of whole potato.
Sometimes you need to take a hard line. I get it.
But indefinite detention is fucking barbaric. And I hope that those affected now have legal recourse due to this decision.
It was never the only solution. It was an expedient solution, and it’s wise to remember that when the architects of that shit show are in power and need to make hard decisions. Because the decision will be the one that maximises their political leverage - it won’t be the one that addresses say…catastrophic climate change, or over irrigation in the Murray basin, or falling education standards, or….
It’s good to see the evidence, but it was no real secret that the big private mining company owners were all scared as hell about the Voice.
Of course they can’t come out and admit that. But it’s still hilarious (in a really shit way) when people still proudly admit that the voted ‘no’ to keep Australia ‘fair and egalitarian’.
Err, no. At least 20% of the population was swayed through some astroturfing by Australia’s most wealthy toffs.
Fuck around and find out that stocking shelves for a one day event with cheap plastic crap that isn’t selling well is a bad idea?
‘Help help, I’m being repressed!’
