What I use is Borg. I use Borg to backup the server to a local NAS. Then I have a NAS at my grand parents house which I use to store the backups of the NAS it self.

Also one other great example is GPS. Just like SELinux it is very well understood and open.

Raid is not only for if a drive fails. But can also be used against slow corruption of files. If you love your data use raid.
I totally agree with that. Don’t get me wrong I never said to pirate in a enterprise environment. But at home might be a different story.
Yeah. I have mostly switched to I2P for the seeding aspect.
I love mulvad. Very unfortunate they hat to stop providing portforwards
Any storage shut be raid or a form their of in a ideal world. The storage where backups are stored a defiantly yes raid shut be a very high priority.
What you can do is setup a VPN to your home at least. From their it is the same as you always would.
Absolutely agree. Look at Linux. Want to uninstall the kernel? No problem! If it is a good idea you can argue about.
I have gotten the exact same response word for word.
Different OSes. Windows and Linux for example. No way to run a full fledged domain controller in a container. Just to name a example.
Personally I prefer Rocky linux. Default to using SElinux which I also like. not a big fan of debian though as things are quite old and sometimes outdated for my needs.
Ports below 1024 are by default reserved for root. So unless you use sudo or change this you wont be able to use port 80 and 53 without root
I mean if you are going to put GOS on it. Perhaps a second hand device is not a issue. Also non pro cost about 400 where I live.
Not really. Almost all the google pixels are supported. You do not need to get the pro versions if you don’t want to.
You know you can completely disable onedrive using GPOs?. I have done so on a DC i have but it shut also be possible using local GPOs.
Hey I am also using GrapheneOS. And what you could do for work is setup a second profile that is not allowed to run when not active. That way it is fully isolated environment for work. Add to that that GrapheneOS lets you install Google related things inside a user profile without needing them to have root access. as some work related things might require google services.
I know. options are always good. i just thought of mentioning it because GOS is very relevant for the pixels phones specifically
Yeah I love it. Also if you are stuck with outlook. Use Caldav synchronizer it is a add-on you can use with outlook to sync calendars with nextcloud.
