it looks like it isn’t holding up? How are they allowed to still campaign?
it looks like it isn’t holding up? How are they allowed to still campaign?
great explanation, thanks!
i use matrix lol. get lost with your condescending attitude.
there were other comments here mentioning that rcs has issues with encryption, and I don’t think handing over our private communication to isps is a step forward. It is literally a decade long step back.
just looked it up and couldn’t find a decent client for ios. There was Monal but it looks more like a draft rather than a finished application. Things don’t even have padding or margins. The snikket one I won’t even mention, you can’t expect people to use something that gives them visual discomfort.
Yeah because ISP’s are not giant corporations
This tool is for your use case. It comes with bonus privacy features like unique address for each service so they can’t cross track you
It is very weird that tools that support “onion” ssl - some way that would allow one layer of encryption for your “allowed” mitm which would keep almost all the request encrypted with key for the server.
There were so many new ideas and perspectives in that article for me. It was a very interesting read, thanks for sharing.
for example in the code, sometimes machine errors are much harder to detect or diagnose because it is nothing like what a human would do. I would expect similarly in text, everything looks correct, because that’s what it is designed to do. Except in code you have a much higher chance of quickly knowing that there is an error somewhere, and with text you don’t even get a warning that you need to start looking for errors
wait what? how is that sad?
Many say they would stop using the app entirely if the ads become widespread.
oh don’t threaten me with good time. It would be amazing if my friends would be forced to stop using instagram so I would not be forced to log in just to catch up on stories or keep in touch
I think the same I just really grasp every opportunity to get convinced otherwise because it’s such a bummer
ah so you were only annoyed that people are against doing the stupid computations in the datacenter and there will be less efficient grid version?
I will keep that perspective in mind, thank you. I am very held back by the amount of resistance and pushback by myself against ai developments, and it is very hard to warm up to something being shoved down by these huge malicious corporations and not be worried about how they will use it against us.
It sounds like one of the most impressive things in recent history and something that would fill me with joy and excitement but we’re in such a hostile environment that I am missing out on all that. I haven’t even managed to get myself to warm up to at least trying one out.
Thanks for the perspective. I despise the way the generative models destroy income for entry level artists, the unhealthy amount it is used to avoid learning and homework in schools, and how none of the productivity gains will be shared with the working class. So my view around it is incredibly biased and when I hear any argument that puts AI into bad light I accept it without enough critical thinking.
Why isn’t this an app?
The main reason for this is that I wanted to create a voice assistant that is completely offline and doesn’t require any internet connection. This is because I wanted to ensure that the user’s privacy is protected and that the user’s data is not being sent to any third party servers.
Weird reasoning, why constrain the assistant to pi’s power and memory when you can use it for interaction and utilize another, more powerful server at home
I set it up last month. I’ve rarely experienced had such a smooth setup process. Was putting it off for years because I had assumed I would need at least several hours. Right now I have one on a server and then every device syncs to it (thought it would be easy to set up backups that way)
haha no, I took it as m2 ipad pro. Not sarcastic, just naive with some wishful thinking. Got super excited over the idea
manjaro was terrible when I used it (several years ago), imo it is fundamentally broken. I would suggest trying a smoother arch install. I always recommend endeavoros because I had an effortless experience with it.
