Pretty sure that’s an Australian LOTO tag made by AAA printing. Which means it definitely says “cock”. Only thing that’s surprising about this on an Aussie mine site is that the word used doesn’t start with “cu…”

My guess is that someone either went to repair it and couldn’t find the issue so this additional helpful tag was added. Or similarly maybe a muppet thought it was still ok to use and again, this helpful tag was added for reinforcement.

This is from Prosh! The students at University of Western Australia release their satirical newspaper “Prosh” once a year as a fundraiser for charity - flooding the streets of Perth in wild costumes selling the papers at intersections, train stations, cafes - anywhere people will be passing by. It’s a tradition, and quite the spectacle. Locals are greeted in the morning rush hour traffic by the most jovial, and largest group of young adults they’ve ever seen before 8 am - wondering why there are nurses and T Rexes and boys in sexy police skirts running through traffic. Then the penny drops, they fork over a fiver for a paper, and everyone goes about their day.

I think it’s as simple as “progress over perfection”.

In and of itself, will this amendment do harm? If your answer is “No”, that’s all that matters.

It may not be the Silver Bullet, there likely is no silver bullet - but if this is one step closer to the life we all want to look back on, then we should try it. Arguments that this isn’t enough are complete sophistry. One step is better than no steps. The argument that “we might not take step four, therefore we shouldn’t take step one” is completely disingenuous. Of course we should take step one, because it’s better than where we are today. Tomorrow we will work on step two - together.
