Please do not buy cheap no brand android tv boxes unless you know how to verify they are not running malware out of the box. This is a known problem and shouldn’t be recommended.

As much as I love a good light weight DE like XFCE, KDE plasma has been the best experience on multiple distros including Debian and Arch. It’s the closest thing to an accessible windows-like experience with all the customization you wish you had in windows with so many applets and widgets that fill in so many gaps in other DEs.

What’s more, all keyless cars still have a fob with proximity and if the fob dies, they legally have to have a way to start the car without the fob battery which is why they all have an nfc reader somewhere (usually in a cup holder) so you can put you dead fob on it and the car will start like normal.

Bluetooth is a questionable choice unless the company also offered some kind of network appliance that incorporates connections in a cheaper way than all units being networked. I just enabled the option to reopen tabs on close, usually open a new tab right before closing with the primary X button, then reopen Firefox so it unloads all tabs that don’t get loaded until I click on them individually. Works fine, isn’t a huge hassle. Good enough at least until it’s officially a feature.

Since you are interested in practical examples, I would recommend you watch and maybe even follow along with Ben Eater’s 6502 breadboard computer series on YouTube (piped link). The kit is cheap and works great but more importantly it introduces so many core concepts about how computers actually work from a raw metal and machine code standpoint while touching on so many different aspects about computers that still apply today.

I think Epics would be a great addition, based on how I currently plan to use this.

This would be neat for a bunch of passive IoT buttons. No need for a piezo to generate power, good for a couple presses at a time, just simple stuff like that.

Very neat, excited to demo this later this weekend. Is it possible to add multiple swimlane groups that can be filtered by tags? That is, not just add a vertical swimlane but add a whole new horizontal group so it’s visually separate with the same vertical lanes, but each horizontal section automatically filters by some criteria.

Seems counterintuitive to have a full page for a demo :/

Same deal, got a full 3-2-1 backup of all my data! Easy to recover if I make a mistake but even easier to replace with higher quality newer builds of Linux isos.

Storage is cheap. There’s no reason to delete content.

Store them in a colder spot. I personally like freezing them. Wrappers always come off cleanly.
