Once talked to the real estate agent that helped my mom buy in 2008 about buying a place for me around 2020. I found a decent-enough property for about 250k that i could put a house on.

A part of their advice to me was to wait for a home around $80,000 like my mom got in 2008.

I think the idea is that people check the weather So they will actually see it. Like, I never read the sports section, but if there was a tidbit on the weather page I might click it.

That would be all apps then. Apps are legitimately great. Websites do the same scummy things.

I will tap my keyboard to wake up the computer/monitor, be able to type in the password, and by the time my monitor wakes up I’m ready to go. I mean, I’ve been ready to go for the past 4 seconds, but take your time and wake up, monitor.

Libraries are amazing! They have books, ebook, movies, magazines, study rooms, computers with internet!. Some have makers spaces. There could be a 3d-printer to use, sewing machines, other tools and items. And then there’s the classes and events the library holds. A reading club, craft activities, kids groups, read-alouds, theme nights. And more! Libraries can connect you to services and legal help. They are there to give you information.

Libraries are just a physical format of Google. They lead you to the information and things you need if you just ask :)

I remembered more. Some library cards can be used as logins for different online tools that would otherwise cost money.

Ask your librarian what your library has :D

I saw this initially as taking a world boot to the US’ junk.

You can: Ban books, burn papers, delete servers, hack articles, AI creations, talk louder than reality.

I believe they mean that if Wikipedia dies, we are still able to get proper information from the actual sources.

Wikipedia just summarizes the primary sources.

Since we can still get the info, we don’t succumb. If the primary sources get altered, then nothing in reality can be trusted.

Ads are like door-to-door salesman. Obnoxious. Let me enjoy the content without the sales pressure. I don’t want to buy your stuff.

I think my computer use could work well with Linux. Mainly I watch movies from my files or through streaming, browse the internet, and photoshop. Though I don’t game, people are unhappy there can be compatibility issues with Linux. What makes it like that? What problems will I run into and where should I look to solve them?

I’m no programmer. I probably need some explain-like-I’m-five instructions.
