Switching to Linux is a pain, but its a pain once
Until there’s some weird problem and the only way to solve it is to copy some dudes code from StackExchange and pray that it isn’t actually a harmful script.

Absolutely.
I stand by my opinion: It was AI/ChatGPT generated.
They let ChatGPT write an episode of Futurama, they animated and voiced it with effort, to prove that writers cannot be replaced by AI. They can now always point at this episode’s low ratings and tell executives “that’s why you need us”.
And they immediately contrasted that by doing the Block-Segment in E10 - to show that a good story, even with minimal animation, can still succeed and be more entertaining than AI.
That’s also why E10 is all about artificial intelligence and being simulated, that’s also why E1 (!) had that bit showing a writer’s room with dead, overworked people and bender as an AI replacing them, but producing crap. And guess which episode was reference in E10 again? Yep, exactly that episode 1.
Yeah I’m convinced that this is the case as well. Literally the first episode of this season mentioned the horrible working conditions of writers and how Bender (an AI) replaces them, but only produces rubbish. And with this episode, they showcased exactly how this would play out.
You might want to watch the very first episode of this season again because it’s explicitly about the bad working conditions of writers and how AI replacing writers leads to really bad results.

I can’t even get Hulu in my country :/ I’m forced to rely on the pirate even though I literally want to pay for it
I maintain that she’s the same idiot she’s always been: https://feddit.de/comment/1739973
This is basically the same Leela that in S3 told us she used to brew her own beer in the orphanarium and tells Fry and Bender “Hey, hey. We can all fight when we’re drunk.”
You can always run software in a Virtual Machine to see if it’s the real deal or not. Additionally, people really like to be “the first” or “the one” who actually provides something. See for example the first cracked Version of Read Dead Redemption 2 - it was announced like a special record (and it was!). Being the first to provide an actual, working copy brings fame, that’s why people go to such lengths to crack and provide software. And the people who download it? Well, they can often rely on those with virtual machines testing the software and then on reviews and ratings available on the download sites.
And last week supporting Fry being a lazy idiot who wants to binge watch every TV show ever made, which risked his life.
I felt like this was actual change. She literally says “I’ve never done this before, but now I want to be supportive, so let’s try this”
Leela being drunk and saying ‘I must have been drunk’.

For me, nothing has changed.
Funfact: “Helmut Spargel” (literally translates as “Helmut Asparagus” from german) is a play on words on former german chancellor Helmut Kohl (“Helmut Cabbage”)
This overly patriotic “freedom of speech”, “earth is the free-est planet ever” and “I’m conservative but I will fight tooth and nail for his freedom of speech” is definitely not how american conservatives today are. They are more about banning books, over-regulating everything including your genitals and “lol seethe and cope librul”.
Tbh, an episode like “A Taste of Freedom” seems unthinkable now.
They don’t run on hatred of capitalism, they run on money.
I’m pretty sure there’s a “hatred of capitalism” cable going in every Stack Overflow server rack! Don’t believe it? Well just answer my question, if you can’t, then there’s your proof
Woah, money. Such a complicated concept that it only exists in capitalism!!
Damn you are grasping at straws man.
Oh, sorry. My mistake. Didn’t mean to attack a wrong person.
Allowed SO to exist in the first place
Prove that this was a necessary condition in the first place. Places to freely trade information with other people existed before “captialism” was even a word.
China is communist in name only, in practice they are the definition of State Capitalism.
Oh, that’s great, because now you are the guy saying “that’s not communism” instead of the people attacking capitalism. Which is great because I think exactly the same!
See, East Germany or the USSR also weren’t communist, because there were no democratic elections (contrary to communist ideals), independent courts (contrary to communist ideals), free and independent media (contrary to communist ideals) or opposition parties (contrary to communist ideals).
It’s almost as if all the “communist” countries you know were not communist at all, but authoritarian.
You know there were socialist/communist success stories, right? But they were always couped and destroyed by conservatives. Noteworthy examples were the Paris Commune or the communist regions during the Occupation of the Ruhr, who resisted the military occupation of the Ruhr region of Germany by France and Belgium.
I’m really unsure if this is a satiric take on right wing commenters or if it actually is one of those.
