  • Either put both the coins and bills in your pocket together and sort it out later, or don’t pick your items up off the counter until you sort out your change.

Because even if they gave your paper bills back separate from the coins, if your other hand is so occupied with the items you purchased, how were you going to get the bills in your wallet anyway?

  • Counterpoint, if the customer places the money on the counter for payment, how is there any issue if the cashier returns change by placing it on the counter?

What is considered polite may differ by region and culture. (I’m not claiming you specifically would be upset at this, it’s just relevant to the meme.)

  • Other comment made great points on MintOS and PopOS for beginning a Linux journey.

SteamOS isn’t available for a full PC release (that I am aware of), but Bazzite was made to be a full-distro alternative to SteamOS. I haven’t tried it myself yet, but it has good reception from what I see.

Linux Mint is very easy to pick up, though, and I highly recommend for someone coming from Windows. It is fully functional through GUI and has several different flavors for the desktop environment. I’m a fan of KDE, but Cinnemon was also very nice. A version of KDE Plasma is what SteamOS 3.0 uses. I’m not as big of a fan of GNOME, but a lot of people love it as a mor elegant, modern desktop environment.

  • Linux Mint can be used almost entirely from GUI, so you should be able to install both Steam and Heroic through the software “store”.

Here are two guides specific to installing Steam on Linux Mint.

I don’t know what games you are playing, and I only used Mint for a short time before moving to other diatros, but I remember it being pretty plug-and-play for most things. I admit I was mostly playing through Steam and a few applications through Lutris (mostly FFXIV), using a Wine wrapper to use the official launcher.

For Steam, the Steam launcher will handle most of the game-specific launchers for you. For Lutris, make sure you open Lutris and update it after installing it and before trying to add any games to it. I don’t have any experience with Heroic (or with Windows version of Epic Launcher either).

  • Ok, so average respiration rate for adults over 18 during sleep peaks at 20 breaths per minute. That’s 1200 breaths per hour, and with a cushy 8 hours of sleep, that’s a whopping 9600 breaths while asleep, maximizing the average. That would net you $480 just for sleeping.

In comparison, on average at a 3 miles per hour pace, it takes 20 minutes to walk 2,252 steps. $480 would take 1,920 steps, and would take about 15.5 minutes to walk at the same pace.

So, 15 minutes of relaxed but purposeful walking would match the total amount you’d make on average for sleeping.

  • Tbh if I was lost and I got a call come through, I’d answer regardless of what caller ID said. If they were wasting my time, I’d just hang up.

Now, at home when I’m safe and everything is fine… I’m sure I’ve missed phone interviews at least once or twice letting voice-mail catch it…

  • I mean, that’s on you for abusing any power up. If you’re trying to rule the world, then sure you might run into some repercussions. If you’re just living your own life, knowing the best way to navigate any interaction with another person is powerful.

Any of the items could be abused in a way that would make enemies, and some of them have other drawbacks on top of that.
