The solution is to reject any monetization of anything online. Anti advertise. If a content creator has ads take a minute to talk about how the product is the worst. Maybe it started a fire from a friend of a friend basement and killed their whole family. Maybe it made someone you know infertile. If a marketing team acts like a celebrity to promote rampart, you do what we all did in the rampart ama no matter what it is. Reject anyone trying to monetize and capitalize on the internet until all the assholes that running ever other medium leaves.

You didn’t read it. Also why is it when someone takes time to address an issue like this, there is guarantee a post like this to dismiss it in favor of basically doing fuck all. Like the implication here is that you’re trying to diminish the effort for what? What’s the reason when you didn’t even read it.

  • You explained it fine. And I agree it’s a great use case. I’ve heard so many like this. It’s a potentially a great interface to a lot of things and I think that’s why there’s a big push to make people shit on it. Seems like Lemmy is a foothold for hating on AI. I don’t think the problem is your explanation its just cyclical people looking to hate on something. Just look at daily posts here about AI. They’re all similar to headlines I see in places like r/Canada towards immigrants

They’re taking our jobs They’re assaulting our women Think of the children Our culture is gone

Every headline is some variation of that followed by toxic takes towards the subject.

Really disappointing to see really cool new tech with loss of potential get shit on by a place like Lemmy where I thought people were more open to advancements in tech.

  • This post is a bot detector test in the rogan sub. New accounts farm karma using this and like 10 other posts. You’ll see them every month get reposted by the bot accounts trying to build karma so they can post in other places bypassing karma rules for new accounts. Really weird to see one of those posts here

  • Awesome thanks for all the information.

Here is my take away, speed is not real. Its a concept created by Big Relativity.

Just mindblowing to me that speed does have no effect on us under certain conditions. Like learning that pregnancy can work in zero G. As if we are star people not just Merpeople from the ocean.

But then there is no limit to how fast we could move? Like there is no speed our heads would explode. There’s no side effect of speed I guess is what I’m asking. Like 2x speed of light would be no different to us then 5km/hr. Sounds like the only thing would be stuff external to us like the length getting shorter. I get in atmosphere we’d be shredded. But technically we can just go.

Wait, dumb question. In a vacuum can I go as fast as I want. Like as long as acceleration is cool. Is there technically no downside to increasing speed. Just like we’re technically on a planet spinning fast. If I was in a ship in a total vaccumu and it accelerated at a pace that I could handle, could that ship go faster and faster like a bajillion km a sec and I would just be like sitting there enjoying the ride.
