just be prepared that the “default” YouTube recommendations are all clickbait + Mr. Beast + whatever fad is going around. The default recommendations are really really bad.

here in the US in my situation it boils down to my parents/grandparents not being able to understand the difference between any texting application. I’m fine using SMS/iMessage because I know everyone has it. I’d say the vast majority of non-technologically savvy people I know are incapable or unsure how to use the basic functions of their phone (very few people I know in this category use their phone for anything else but calls, texts, and the web browser; everything else is just unused for either lack of understanding or lack of interest).

KDE Connect is something I keep my eye on and check in every once in a while: Is there a dedicated page tracking updates specifically to KDE Connect? I’m really very much looking forward to a time where it is feature compete with Android compared to Apple’s continuity platform. I would absolutely love to move to Android+Linux as my daily drivers, but I feel like I’m giving up on too much by leaving the Apple ecosystem.

Could you guys implement an auto tethering option between phone/PC?
How instant are notifications synced? Do notifications disappear on one side or the other when viewed on one or the other platform?
Maybe implement a “link to KDE” notification toggle to mirror the “link to windows” functionality of Android?

It really confuses me why people would want to play a competitive video game that is balanced around profit. Riot openly admits to buffing and nerfing based on skin sales and champion releases.

From Tucson here: Walmart in town is pretty sketchy compared to the other places. We had someone light the chemical isle on fire on Christmas Eve that burnt down half the entire store lmao. Walmart sold itself as a low price retailer for so long that only low income people go there and with that there’s theft and then the classism of hiring armed guards during their high crime periods.

MacOS is actually far more open to low level system UI tweaks and app support than windows.

I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would buy a car without Android auto or CarPlay lmao; you wanna pay for an internet connection in your car?

My Satechi dongle has been pretty solid as a pass through for my MacBook. No issues so far.

I use Apple Maps for directions and Google maps when I want to “explore” or look for restaurants. Discovery on Apple Maps is still awful and requires you to have Yelp installed. On the flipside though they beat Google to having intersection lights and stop signs on the map while driving. The overall experience and animations are also far smoother on Apple Maps which is what makes me use it for driving. Google maps, like many Google products has a low framerate for its animations.

I used 1Pass and really enjoyed the native app for a while until they forced everyone to a monthly subscription. Then they moved to electron for the MacOS app and I dropped them. Bitwarden has everything that 1Pass did for me and it’s free. The only thing that Bitwarden lacks is CoreUI animations and fluid transitions (everything is instant when you click it).

Highly recommend Bitwarden.
