Well probably some registrars don’t give the data from payments away as much. Though on the other hand giving fake info will make you look more unique and trackable.

Do not put unnecessary information in and use privacy nightmare websites/software (like LinkedIn) with maximum sandboxing and protection possible (WM, VPN, probably Tails). If your job requires you to use some app, get a separate device for it (though I still wouldn’t pick such a job).

Well if you recommend getting an older phone because it’s cheaper, GrapheneOS support may be a concern. Also I think a phone usually can last for 7 years with 1 battery replacement, good ambient temperature and careful use.
The Gitlab page says it is using Piped and there are mentions of it in the app itself.
