Afaik it is not on WebView yet. They plan it for the future but for now it is based on Electron as desktop application, in the Web it is just a PWA. And other Electron applications are fast and work well, example: VS Codium.

Tried it already, didn’t work.
DRM is enabled, otherwise Netflix wouldn’t work, what it does. And that is the weird thing, some videoplatforms work, some do not.

If you want a 100% safe option don’t connect the tv to the internet. Then use your own kodi box or alike.

As i said, if it bothers you, don’t use their services. Buy using their services and paying for it you are encouraging them even more. And trust me, at the end of they you don’t need TV and you don’t need google to live a happy life.

Same here, a friend of mine i am sharing with can still use netflix on his PC where he uses it anyway. If they would shut that option off i just quit using their service all year long. I will then start just to subscribe for a month two times a year, watch some shows i want to see and quit it again. And Amazon Prime Video become much better lately content wise.
If you don’t want to see ads, pay for the services or use services that do not force you to download unwanted data (ads) on your computer. It’s that simple.
If you preorder, just 100 $/€ are taken from your credit card. The rest is booked shortly before the device gets shipped. So, your risk is 100$/€ if they went bankrupt before you get your device. I have seen worse, imho.
