That’s outdated stuff. Pegasus doesn’t need phishing methods to get on your phone. It just installs itself when an actor sends it your way. You won’t notice it and the only way to prevent it is to not use a phone.

What we need are laws to prevent this kind of court trolling because courts all over europe are wasting time and money on these repeated proposals. Politicians should be held accountable for wasting everyone’s time.

Yup it’s the same here in Germany where more and more households have been taking energy production into their own hands. Soon energy companies will only be in charge of distribution and storage, but I doubt this will make things much cheaper for long unless we cut private companies out of the process completely.

And then they’ll stop having creators creating free content for their advertisement sceme to work. Genius!

They’re even shoving AI into Youtube by placing a summary in plain text below some videos now. Don’t know if it’s opt-in or just randomly placed for testing but so far I’m not impressed because it skips over important things. I’m honestly puzzled as to why the hell they’re doing this.

I don’t think this is a problem specific to men or adults primarily but children growing up with them. That is if they’ll continue to improve drastically which won’t necessarily happen.

But why would you need bots to scrape data? Wouldn’t a script just do fine?

The FTC does have a pretty solid track record under their current lead, it’s just that it will likely be demolished under Trump.

Both can be true at the same time if you just use human labor behind a screen to assist the lackluster hard- and software. They tried that with their self-checkout supermarkets while claiming they were fully automated.

And the thing is the architecture of LLMs was already a huge breakthrough in the field. Now these companies are basically trying to come up with another by - and that’s just my guess - throwing tons of cash at it and hoping for the best. I think that’s like trying to come up with a building material that outperforms steel concrete in every aspect. Just because it was discovered by some guy doesn’t mean multi billion dollar companies can force something better with all the money in the world.

It only ever works for a decade or two before it obliterates the economy every single time.

You know what? Don’t worry too much about it. Reality will catch up eventually.
