What do you find not great about mouse/keyboard GNOME? All the gestures I know have pretty simple mouse and keyboard equivalents. So far I just gesture three fingers up/down/left/right, which I can do on a keyboard with super/alt-super-left/alt-super-right or on a mouse with hot-corner/corner-click/corner-scroll. If there’s a gesture I’m missing out on please let me know, I always like to learn new tricks.
I haven’t had to use any application like that in a while, though I’m sure you’re right that they exist. Could you give me an example of an application feature that’s only accessible from the system tray?
I mean, two nuclear bombs were used in war and a bunch in testing, unless I’m forgetting something. I feel like tectonic activity could definitely be much worse than that, judging by the early earth environment.
I read it as pro-gyn-nova
It rolls off the tongue and encapsulates three important aspects. I’m sure there are other readings of it too.
(0..=100).filter(|n| n % 2 == 1).for_each(|n| println!("{n}"))
The implication is that the poster wondered why the owner bought a car associated with Elon. The decal answered that question, giving the impression that the owner read the poster’s mind.
They’re still working on it, and if it’s been a while since you last checked they may have already implemented the ones you wanted.
So long as you have Firefox installed there’s a firefox search bar widget available. In Nova you add widgets with a long press on home screen and swipe up.
You can find the app for the launcher in the play store. There should be instructions in the app for making it your default launcher. Otherwise there are plenty of tutorials online.
You can use a different launcher to customize your home screen and get rid of the Google search bar. I use Nova and can confirm that a singular Firefox search bar works nicely, and I’m sure that it does with other launchers as well.
In these conversations I always get to an impasse because yeah, capitalism is very flawed and produces many horrible outcomes. But communism has failed to work at all (as far as I know). Last I spoke to a communist as passerby was asking for what my conversation partner thought was a example of true communism, to which the answer was “the very start of the Russian revolution”. I won’t pretend to be the most informed about history, and I know that there has been much interference from capitalist countries, but if communism were so clearly a better system would it not have stably worked at least once? I’m having a hard time understanding why that’s a better goal than the countries that seem to reign in capitalism with at least some success.
Is the deterioration of the global market not mainly a result of neglecting to keep monopolies in check and provide adequate regulation?
Maybe it’s a reference to the phenomenon when a word repeated that way isn’t noticed, or an earlier meme that uses it?
Nah, that would have been a good thing to check though.
The app is saying that it can’t communicated with the device, and the Wifi is working fine, so It seems to be an app issue rather than a device issue. Do you have any insights?
I’ve tried factory resetting the router, and have reinstalled the app several times. I think I’ve gotten, if not to the source, than further down the chain.
And that’s the core thing I don’t know how to get around. The app can’t actually interact with the network. That explains why restarting the network hasn’t fixed it in the past. I don’t understand how it could be an issue only I have though, since it happens regardless of reinstalling the app.
I have the same app version and my account has “Manager” permissions, which seems like it should be enough by the description.
Are there other types of permission?
In my mind Lemmy had succeeded when it has communities for everything that I care about that are large enough to approximate the level of the activity I had on Reddit. Given how niche some of those communities are, that would require it to be one of the more prominent social medias.
So yeah, there’s no need for it to become the next Facebook, but I would like it to become mainstream.
It’s not on the border. The specturm line is under each trait. Though it’s absolutely ridiculous that they’re connected instead of being bars.
