No clue, the dev said in one of the issues on github that “nobody stopped developing the project” or something similar, yet there’s no sign of the project being maintained.
Luckily one of the core contributor of the project has a fork, which is actively maintained, so you can use that: https://github.com/uazo/bromite-buildtools
It does not have the bromite branding, but it contains all the bells and whistles.
Eventually it is going to have its own branding and probably will be called Cromite if I remember correctly.
