Now that you know the movie, search for the bank robbery scene. It may be the best gunfight ever filmed.

Rain forecasts are mostly spot on for me. Keep in mind, %chance of rain is covering a wide area. If we want better rain forecasts we have to dial in the resolution.
All I have ever seen is a single sentence on the login screen promoting MS products. Do none of you still use Windows? Are you saying stuff like this based on memes?
Oh. My. Fuck. Me.
The image shows a man and a girl walking on a path in a wooded area. The foreground is covered in fallen leaves and pine straw. In the background, there is a wooden structure that appears to be some sort of storage shed or lean-to. A fire pit is visible to the left. The trees are dense and the lighting suggests it’s daytime. There appears to be a small animal or bird under the wooden structure.
The man appears to be middle-aged, Caucasian, with a casual style. He appears to be wearing camouflage clothing and jeans, suggesting an outdoorsy lifestyle. He is carrying a water bottle. The girl is young, likely elementary school-aged, wearing a pink shirt and shorts. She looks somewhat pensive. They both appear to be of average economic means and are engaging in a simple outdoor walk. The picture was taken at 2:44:22 AM on February 1st, 2020, with a Bushnell camera. There’s also an unidentifiable object hanging from a tree branch in the background.
The image’s resolution is somewhat low, indicative of a security camera, making the details somewhat blurry. The lighting is not uniform, with patches of sunlight and shadow. There is a subtle difference in the ground texture between the path and the surrounding areas. The girl appears to have a slightly concerned expression on her face. The wood used in the construction of the shelter seems weathered and may be indicative of its age and prolonged exposure to the environment.
Mostly spot on except the date because I never set the trail cam. Also, no animal under the firewood shed and the water bottle is a Keystone in a cozie. Cannot believe it picked up the ground difference in the trail and the edge of it.
Ha! I was thinking along these lines reading science fiction the other day. In every novel where stuff has to get moved overland, it’s always a train. No matter their tech level, trains are the simplest, most efficient solution.
Seen some math on the mountains of salt we would have to move. Very discouraging for desalinization and/or getting hydrogen that way.
LOL, my friend had the 400. We all hated it.
This is not that discussion, even remotely. Try to stay on topic.
While we’re throwing around our favorite TED talks, here’s the meat of my favorite in animated form.
Drive: The surprising truth about what motivates us
Looking back over my jobs, hobbies, life in general, yeah, this hits hard. And yes, they found some surprising results.
EDIT: I was wrong. Not a TED talk. Watch it anyway and learn!
By virtue of you actually knowing what a firewall is, and participating in the conversation, on this platform, you are ahead of 99 out of 100 people.
Y’all missing the whole point here.
If an area requires covering, it might as well produce some power. And cells on the ground aren’t as bad as they’re made out.
I have one laying flat in the yard powering a 12V water pump. Been there for 6-months, covered in pollen and dust, weeds growing over one side, grass cuttings on top, never cleaned, works fine. I have another on my shed roof at our camp. Same deal with the pollen and dust, works fine. But guess which one is easier to clean?
Cells don’t have to be pristine to produce power. And if you do want to clean them? The installation pictured looks easy to work with a garden hose and squeegee, couldn’t take 30 minutes. Use concrete instead? OK, now you have to power wash it. What a pain.
I feel like the solution is given in the meme.
Funny story! My kids were appalled that we were on a 1-mile hike to the creek last summer.
“ONE MILE!?”
Little shits were sore as hell walking out. Guess what? By the end of summer, a 2-mile round trip in the sand was nothing to them. Guess what else? We used to jog a mile, at the start of gym class in the 70s.
Damned close! Cut off the Florida panhandle and include it with AL and GA and you’re golden down South!
The women are the finest I’ve ever met. Feminine as you please, can strap on a pistol or shot gun with ease. Never dated a dumb MS woman.
CAVEAT: All my experience is with women who left MS. May not be applicable in state.
And the lack of water.
Spoken as someone who doesn’t travel those 3 states. Alabama is head and shoulders above the other 2.
How do you feel about lye? Seems to clean the organic crap better. For metal I use sulfuric. ?
This still has me laughing after it was posted a month ago.
“Well hell, I should try something different in that gun that doesn’t work quite right. Wonder if this works better?”
There. Impulse buy.
I believe that pic was taken by a security cam from the hostel he was checked into.
