Plasma 6.0 Release Candidate 2 is just a week away!
This will be the last test release before the final version Plasma 6.0 hits repos on February 28. This is your chance to test a nearly entirely functional Plasma 6.0 and help us by reporting bugs.

Remember: RC2 will still be a test version of Plasma 6.0. Some things may still break!

@kde@floss.social @kde@lemmy.kde.social I wonder how much micros**t will copy it
In view of their track record, a lot. That said, everybody copies everybody, so…
I’ve jumped ahead and installed RC1 on my machine. Even with an Nvidia card and Wayland as standard, i’ve had basically no issues. Everything that’s ever been broken I’ve either submitted a bug report for, and it was fixed within hours, or it’s an X11 bug, in which case good luck with that
@kde@floss.social @kde@lemmy.kde.social Can you believe it guys? Plasma 6.0 release candidate, just a week away. Plasma 6.0 release candidate is in a week! Woohoo! I am so happy about this information. Plasma 6.0 release candidate! Just a week away, oh wow. Can you believe it? Plasma 6.0 release candidate! Just in a week! It got here so fast! Plasma 6.0 release candidate! Just a week away!
It’s so much easier to say nothing than to shit on a thread, you know. If you don’t find it relevant, you can always just move along, with a downvote if you must.
@octopus_ink this is a meme comment making a joke about the specific wording used in the post (See the “Christmas is just a week away” meme)
I actually use KDE Plasma and am enthusiastic about the release of Plasma 6.
Well, I hang my head in shame, but will leave my comment there for others to learn from.
Don’t feel bad. It’s a joke based on the meme. I didn’t get it either until I saw the video it is based on. It’s funny.
It was pretty funny, thanks. 🙂
@kde@floss.social @kde@lemmy.kde.social can’t wait!
I’m on OpenSUSE Tumbleweed with Plasma 5. How am I gonna update to Plasma 6?
Amazing! I hope it makes it to OpenBSD as well soonish
